TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Take a trip down memory lane as you step into this new hot spot in Downtown Tampa.
GenX Tavern is a new bar and restaurant full of 80s and 90s nostalgia from the food, to games and, of course, the tunes.
A mural with more than 170 references to the era’s pop culture is now an iconic staple.
The walls are covered in posters, memorabilia, an infinity mirror and an interactive display stack of old television sets.
You can try to beat your high school high score with games like pinball and Skee-Ball.
Some of the menu items include drinks like the “Kapree Fun” and food items like Dunkaroo Dip, all odes to the time of Tang.
The average menu item is around $10.
You can grab a can of Spaghettios from GenX Monday to Thursday 11 a.m. to midnight; Friday and Saturday 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.; and Sunday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
The fan-favorite gathering spot comparable to Central Perk is located at 103 E Jackson St in Tampa.
