New Playable Pinball And Arcade Museum Is Coming To St. Pete In August

Long nights of button mashing, flipper flappin’, flashing lights, and high scores will be returning from the grave here in Florida this August. If you’re ready to relive the nostalgia of the 80s and 90s again, you can do that at the new playable pinball and arcade museum coming to St. Petersburg.

The Pinball Arcade Museum will be opening up in the artsy district of St. Pete’s downtown Grand Central District, which owner Andy Kline told St. Pete Rising he thought would perfectly fit the vibe he is going for with his new arcade.

The 2000 square foot playable museum will feature about 60 pinball machine and arcade machines from the 80s and 90s  including classics like the Addams Family, Donkey Kong, and Space Invaders. Those 60 machines are just a small portion of Kline’s expansive personal collection, who has been in the arcade business for more than 40 years.

All games will be set to free to play, so you won’t have to carry around a heavy pocket of quarters like it’s laundry day; instead, there will be a $15 cover charge that gets you in so you can play all day.

A wristband will allow you to come and go as you please for the day, so feel free to explore downtown St. Pete. They’ve got some other great hidden gems within 5 minutes of the new Pinball Arcade. Go bottoms up and pet pups at an upscale dog park & bar or enjoy a healthy plant-based vegan ice cream that might make you quit dairy ice cream.

Their arcade is coming together nicely, and we can’t wait to see the rest of the space once it opens – you can check out a little sneak peek of the new space as posted on The Pinball Arcade’s Facebook page below.

If you can’t wait to relive your childhood with retro games, The Pinball Arcade is currently set to open August 1st at 2313 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33713. Operating hours will run 11am-10pm during the week and 11am-12am midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
