BINGHAMTON, N.Y. -
SUNY Broome engineering students got the chance to show their skills to the campus community. Microprocessor projects were on display in the Applied Technology building on Wednesday afternoon, ranging from a pinball machine to a snack dispenser.
Senior Nick Rader’s project is a miniature elevator that is coded to stop at whatever floor you tell it to.
“We had to code it all, that was a bit challenging,” says Rader.
The projects required students to recycle old machinery components, code, make LCDs, and motors.
